It’s been a while since I posted. I guess i’ve just been busy. A whole lot of freelance work sort of appeared all at once, and in between lots and lots (and lots, too much) coding, developing automated reporting systems, trawling through 12gb of content to find something useful, watching Heroes season 1, and sleeping (albeit erratically), I found I just didn’t have the time to blog.
Now I do, and I’m going to make use of these next 20 minutes before I head straight back into that blizzard. Money’s calling…
Firstly, Gnip (TwitterSA’s content provider) was kind enough to update their entire system without emailing me. They blogged about it (apparently), but it caught me off-guard nonetheless, and TwitterSA ground to a halt. I finally managed to get it back this afternoon, after puzzling through their erratic and poorly-explained API documentation. I’m a pictures person :/
I’ve also given a lot of thought to a venture I tried a few months back, but closed down from lack of activity - a blogger forum. The problem back then was that new bloggers (who’d be the target audience) are most likely still getting to grips with the whole publishing-content-online thing, and they don’t easily recognise the value of a centralised forum.
Given that I’ve upgraded my hosting, I’ve decided to basically resurrect it, activity or not. I’ve also reposted all the articles on BlogForge to this forum, gave it a pretty brown design, christened it Mudaba, and pushed it live.
I suppose that, eventually, users will find their way there. Time will tell…
Off I go again. I’ve got a lot of work to do, and not a lot of time to do it - tomorrow is the third. Argh :(

Have you tried Vanilla for a forum? Neater tider… :) http://getvanilla.com/
I have, actually. Vanilla’s discussion-oriented, slightly disorganized, and a bitch to theme…
