Rex the Lion (vlogging king of the jungle) popped out onto the South African radar about a week and a half ago (with this short introduction), and he’s already made lots of waves in the local online community. In his first 4 videos, he seemed to take a fairly indecisive stance on the local blogosphere, which earned him this celebratory post by Justin Hartman.

Personally, I thought his unwillingness to tread on a few toes weakened his authenticity as a blogger in the local space. Well, I guess it wouldn’t have lasted forever anyway - he’s decided to introduce two weekly awards, and I was quite surprised to find out that I had won!. (I didn’t even enter the competition ;)

At least he got my name right … lol. And so there we have it, my very first South African community award. Poor Justin, hehe.
