So around 3.45 this afternoon, I finally rolled out the necessary patches, and got the next version of TwitterSA off the ground. So what’s different about this one?

• It’s prettier. Much, much prettier.
• You can post to Twitter directly from the site
• Register to appear on the SA Users list
• Uses Gnip to collect data (as up-to-date as technologically possible)

The main difference you need to be aware of is this registration page. Enter your Twitter username and password here to gain the ability to post to Twitter directly from TwitterSA. This also places your username in the queue to be added to the incoming Gnip stream (which syndicates your tweets from whatever other sources you use), and creates an entry for you on the SA Users page.

You stay logged in for 24 hours at a time (security measure). I can increase this timeframe if there’s demand for it, though.

The only thing that’s not back yet is the Stats page. I’m leaving this one out until I can get some feedback around what stats it is you think should be displayed. Last time, I had totals (tweets/users), activity graph over the last 24 hours, and top 20 noisiest twits.
