the alexandra/diepsloot xenophobia outbreaks have, among other things, become a persistent news topic. i would find it hard to believe that the average south african does not know about these things, but for the sake of posterity i’ll recap it here:

some people might remember an old set of facebook statuses of mine. at a point in my life where i was really confused, and fighting an uphill battle. well, i’m still confused, and i’m still fighting an uphill battle, but at least i have a better grip - namely, on GOD.
